Muskegon County Jail to investigate inmate's death

(Muskegon County, May 20, 2003, 10:45 a.m.) The Muskegon County Jail plans to investigate the death of an inmate.

Deputies found James Church dead in his cell Sunday morning. Church was arrested for drunk driving Saturday night. His blood alcohol level was .35.

Church was taken to the hospital, but later was sent back to jail. The Muskegon County Undersheriff say Church was walking around and seemed to be doing fine.

Muskegon County Prosecutor Tony Tague says at this point he doesn't suspect anything criminal, but he's waiting for autopsy results to make a final determination.
