Situation:Inmate at US prison in Pollock killed

Authorities have announced the death of a prisoner who was stabbed at the federal prison in Pollock. Forty-three-year-old Charles Harris Jackson Jr. of California, was pronounced dead at 5:55 p.m. Monday at the prison after an assault earlier that day in the recreation yard.

One suspect in the assault us under lockdown. The facility is on lockdown status.

The assault is under investigation by the FBI and there is. Jackson was sentenced in the Central District of California to 210 months for armed robbery. He was transferred to Pollock in August of 2006.
