Welcome to the meeting place of the Council of 100 and Council of Senior CERT Operators
A special evening dinner is being planned for the council in the heart of Old Town Portsmouth, VA. This will be a night that will not be forgotten. More details to come as the dates draw near.

CERT Council of 100 |
The CERT Council of 100 was started in 2001 by the US CTOA . The CERT Council is made of 24 CERT Senior Commander / Senior Team Leaders from around the world. The council members serve a rotational period of 2 years each. There are 12 permanent Council members and 12 Rotating members.
The Council is led by the CERT Council Leader who is elected by the Council members. The term of Council leader is a 4 years with a 3 term limit. In order to be elected CERT Council Leader a vote of at least 18 is required.
CERT Council Members roles and responsibilities have grown and developed over the last 4 years. With over 1000 Correctional CERT Units in representation worldwide the CERT Council will be drafting some historic industry adoptions and ratifications.
Why is this council so important?
It is the only governing CERT body that can facilitate information globally within a short period of time! It has the influential power to set trends, endorse products, services and standards. Simply put, the CERT Council of 100 represents over 30,000 CERT Operators worldwide. The SEC / STL who are on this council represent their perspective countries and corrections segments. |

Council of Senior CERT Operators |
This council has no permanent members. All members serve a minimum term of 2 years and may be voted by council members to serve an additional 2 year term. There are no term limits unless the CERT Council of 100 decides to change the terms.
The CERT Council of 100 appoints representation from their respective counties to sit on this council. The number of seats that are given to each permanent is based on the number of representative from their perspective countries. |
