Missing Inmate Puts Allegheny County Jail On Lockdown
PITTSBURGH -- An Allegheny County Jail inmate put the facility on lockdown Tuesday night after he went missing during a routine head count.
According to our news partners The Tribune Review, 28-year-old Gary Barbour was found in an air duct after prison guards searched for him for about four hours.
During the lockdown, no new prisoners were accepted and no visitors allowed to enter the jail.
Barbour was found around 10:30 p.m. He is being held on simple drug possession charges.
Officials say the situation remains under investigation.
